A kind-looking character actress from the Broadway stage (Salt Water [1929], After Tomorrow [1931], and many others), Edythe Elliott entered films in 1935 and played scores of housekeepers, nurses, housewives, and mothers. Very busy at RKO Radio in the 1940s, Elliott later turned up in a host of television guest spots in the 1950s.
