Guinn "Big Boy" Williams

Guinn Williams was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In 1919, he moved to Hollywood. Early on in his acting career, Williams landed roles in various films, including the William Haines romance "Brown of Harvard" (1926), "The College Widow" (1927) and the comedy "Babe Comes Home" (1927) with Babe Ruth. He also appeared in "Slide, Kelly, Slide" (1927), "Vamping Venus" (1928) and "The Forward Pass" (1929). He kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in the dramatic adaptation "The Littlest Rebel" (1935) with Shirley Temple Black, the Patsy Kelly comedy "Kelly the Second" (1936) and "The Vigilantes Are Coming" (1936). He also appeared in "Grand Jury" (1936). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Errol Flynn action picture "The Santa Fe Trail" (1940), "Billy the Kid" (1941) and the drama "Swamp Water" (1941) with Walter Brennan. He also appeared in the musical "You'll Never Get Rich" (1941) with Fred Astaire and the Lupe Velez comedy "Six Lessons From Madame La Zonga" (1941). Williams was most recently credited in "Lucky Star" (1991) with Charles Farrell. Williams was married to Dorothy Williams. Williams passed away in June 1962 at the age of 63.
