Haley King
Haley King, also credited as Hunter King, was an American actress best known for her roles on "The Young and the Restless" (CBS, 1973- ) and "Life in Pieces" (CBS, 2015- ). Born and raised in Southern California, King's desire to act was apparent at a very young age. She starred appearing in plays in her local theater in Agoura Hills, California, and before long, given her close proximity to Hollywood, was auditioning for film and TV roles. Her very first on-screen role came when she was 8-years-old when she nabbed a small part in Steven Spielberg's sci-fi drama "A.I. Artificial Intelligence" (2001). She followed that up over the next several years with guest spots on numerous TV shows like "Roswell" (The WB, 1999-2002), "Line of Fire" (ABC, 2003-04), and "Without a Trace" (CBS, 2002-09). King's first big break came in 2006 when she nabbed a recurring role on the acclaimed Showtime drama "Dexter" (Showtime, 2006-2013). King appeared in two episodes of the series' first season. With her acting career on the rise, King continued nabbing mostly TV roles throughout the remainder of the 2000s and leading into the 2010s. In 2012 King landed her first series regular role on the short-lived teen drama "Hollywood Heights" (TeenNick, 2012). That show, however, was cancelled after its first season. Undeterred, King came into a bit of luck later that year after receiving a phone call from the executive producer of the long-running soap opera "The Young and the Restless." The producer asked King if she wanted to be on the show. King said yes, and just like that, she was hired. She never had to audition for anything, and on October 23, 2012 King made her debut as Summer Newman on the soap. King continued playing Summer Newman for the next four years on "The Young and the Restless," before leaving the show to appear in a new CBS sitcom called "Life in Pieces" as Clementine, the girlfriend and bandmate of 18-year-old Tyler Hughes (Niall Cunningham). Although initially only a supporting player on the series, King was bumped up to series regular when Tyler and Clementine impulsively got married at the start of the second season, which premiered in the fall of 2016.
