A versatile television and film actress, Magalie Lépine Blondeau's passion for her craft was evident and genuine, whether she was hosting a children's program or serving as leading lady. A 2005 graduate of the National Theatre School in Québec, Blondeau appeared in several stage productions, including "L'Amour Médecin" (2005), "Don Juan" (2005), and "Comment J'ai Appris à Conduire" (2007-08). She began making inroads on television as host of the popular children's show "R-Force" (VrakTV, 2006-07), which earned her a nomination for a Gemini award in 2008. Blondeau had a recurring role on the dramedy series "C.A." (Radio-Canada, 2006-2010), which followed four friends who reunite 10 years after having graduated from college. In 2010, she appeared in director Xavier Dolan's drama "Les amours imaginaires" ("Heartbeats"), about two best friends (Dolan and Monia Chokri) who fall in love with the same man (Niels Schneider). Blondeau returned to her television roots with a regular part on the drama series "19-2" (Radio-Canada, 2011). She followed it up with a co-starring role in the comedy "L'Empire Bo$$e" (2012), as the love interest of a self-made man (Guy A. Lepage) who becomes one of the world's richest men through unscrupulous means. Blondeau reunited with Dolan in the 2012 drama "Laurence Anyways," about a seemingly impossible love story between a man and a woman after he undergoes a sex change.
