Marjorie Wood was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Wood's career beginnings included film roles in the Greer Garson dramatic comedy "Pride and Prejudice" (1940) and "Klondike Fury" (1942). Wood began to focus on film after appearing in the drama "Caged" (1950) with Eleanor Parker, "Excuse My Dust" (1951) and the Esther Williams musical comedy "Texas Carnival" (1951). She also appeared in "The Company She Keeps" (1951). Later in her career, Wood acted in the adaptation "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers" (1954) with Howard Keel. Wood passed away in November 1955 at the age of 73.
