Natina Reed, born on October 28, 1979, in New York, was an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and actor. She rose to fame in the late 1990s as a member of the R&B girl group Blaque, which was mentored by Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes of TLC. Reed's role in the group combined her rapping and singing talents, setting her apart in the R&B landscape of the time. In addition to her music career, Reed ventured into acting, most notably in the hit film "Bring It On" (2000), where she portrayed Jenelope and the TV show (Disney Channel, 1991-2001). She also made appearances in music videos and TV shows, further cementing her status in entertainment. Throughout her career, Reed was involved in writing and producing music, showcasing her versatility beyond performing. In 2003, Blaque disbanded, though they briefly reunited in 2007. Unfortunately, Reed's life was tragically cut short in a car accident in Duluth, Georgia, on October 26, 2012. Her impact on early 2000s R&B and pop culture remains influential, and her legacy continues through Blaque's music and her contributions to both the music and film industries.
