French documentarian Olivier Carreras has had a multifaceted career as a writer, producer, and noted television host. Carreras got his start in the early 1990s when he worked as a host for the news and entertainment show "Mister Biz." Carreras success on that show, which offered viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the inner working of show business, led to his selection as the host of the 90-minute French sports investigation series, "Hors Stade." While working for both shows, Carreras interest in documentaries blossomed, and in 2003 he wrote and produced his very first documentary, "A Weekend at George V: Behind the Scenes of a Legendary Hotel." The show was a major success on French television and would lead Carreras write and direct 26 episodes of the documentary-style travel series "Behind the Scenes of the Most Beautiful Palaces." That ambitious program--which took viewers on an adventurous ride to 26 different countries--cemented Carreras' status as an established French television documentarian. In 2009, Carreras wrote and directed "Children of Design," a highly successful television documentary that showcased several interior design architects. He continues to write, produce, and develop documentaries for French TV.
