French actor and comedian Philippe Vieux began his career while studying at Paris' famed Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts et Techniques du Theatre. Upon graduation, he entered the film industry with a small role in writer/director Diane Bertrand's well-received indie "Un Samedi sur la Terre." Another small part in "Une Chance sur Deux," an action comedy starring French film icon Jean-Paul Belmondo, followed, but beginning with the horror comedy "Serial Lover," Vieux's roles grew larger as he honed his comedic chops. In the 2000s, Vieux began working regularly in television, both in small parts in TV movies and guest appearances on popular series like the police drama "Julie Lescaut." In 2006, he joined the cast of the series "Fête de Famille," followed in 2010 by the popular comedy series "Caméra Café 2." In 2011, he co-starred in director Maurice Barthélémy's travel farce "Low Cost," about a hapless airline crew. Vieux has also maintained a steady career as a stage actor, both in classical theater and in popular works; one of his highest profile roles treading the boards came in the French version of Eric Idle's Monty Python musical "Spamalot," in which he co-starred alongside his "Caméra Café" co-star Arnaud Ducret.
