Tye Tribbett

American singer-songwriter and musician Tye Tribbett was born in Camden, New Jersey. Growing up in a family with strong religious ties led Tribbett to find himself in gospel music. Before launching his own career, he toured and recorded as a background vocalist with Faith Hill, Will Smith, Usher, Justin Timberlake and Sting. Tribett went on to found the gospel group Tye Tribbett & G.A., serving as choir director, and scoring three Grammy nominations. He started releasing his solo music and won his first Grammy for it in 2013. Since then, he has received ten nominations total, winning three of them.
