William Watson

Birthday: Jan 3, 1896
Birthplace: Not Available
Canadian-born comedy director William Watson had served as an editor for Mack Sennett for five years before writing and directing literally hundreds of two-reel comedies, a career that lasted through the 1930s and included work with such diverse talent as the Century Lions and Peggy Peggy. In the sound era, Watson helmed shorts featuring a host of now-forgotten vaudeville entertainers. He was the uncle of the Watson child-acting dynasty that included Bobs Watson and Delmar Watson.
