Doin' It (2024) 50% EDIT “Doin’ It is caught in the bind of being too obnoxious for adults and too unrelatable for younger viewers. ” – Vague Visages Sep 27, 2025 Full Review Waltzing with Brando (2024) 56% EDIT “[W]hile, yes, Waltzing with Brando explores a singular facet of a celebrated Hollywood icon’s life, at the end of the day, watching the hedonism of an obscenely wealthy white man without much emotional depth or humor is pretty damn boring.” – Vague Visages Sep 27, 2025 Full Review Lulu and the Electric Dreamboat (2023) EDIT “Lulu and the Electric Dreamboat is a winsome coming-of-age film with surgical wit.” – Vague Visages May 25, 2025 Full Review The Heirloom (2024) EDIT “The Heirloom doesn’t follow a conventional climactic structure, and its brittle, dry humor and abstract tone may not appeal to everyone. However, Petrie’s inventive vision is admirable, and it captures a very specific millennial anxiety that few films do.” – Vague Visages May 25, 2025 Full Review Going Viral (2024) EDIT “Aside from its off-kilter science fiction elements and generational confusion, Going Viral is an amusing and playful romp that will remind viewers of everything wonderful about the 1980s. ” – Vague Visages Feb 17, 2025 Full Review Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision (2024) EDIT “"With 'Electric Lady Studios,' McDermott artfully explores intriguing stories about hard-working music professionals who experienced first-hand what it was like to make a dream come true."” – Vague Visages Oct 10, 2024 Full Review Not Not Jazz (2024) EDIT ““Miller’s documentary will likely bore viewers who are unfamiliar with Medeski Martin & Wood, but ‘Not Not Jazz’ is still a worthy tribute to what makes the band members such singular musicians.”” – Vague Visages Oct 7, 2024 Full Review Joker: Folie à Deux (2024) 31% EDIT “Joker: Folie à Deux is a failed experiment that squanders its promising concept and stellar cast on a lackluster and overly dour vision. Musicals may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but Joker: Folie à Deux managed to make the genre mind-numbingly boring.” – Kotaku Oct 4, 2024 Full Review Guy Friends (2024) 86% EDIT “"The main issue with 'Guy Friends' is that the film hinges on Jariwala's performance, which is heavy on histrionics and lacking in truth."” – Vague Visages Sep 23, 2024 Full Review Sleep No More: Director's Cut (2024) EDIT ““‘Sleep No More’ remains a mishmash of clichés, genres and lackluster ideas.”” – Vague Visages Sep 20, 2024 Full Review Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024) 75% EDIT “[S]itting through Beetlejuice Beetlejuice felt like going to an amusement park as a grown-up: the rides are now worn and clunky and you just want to get off. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is all flashing lights and bright colors, but little substance. ” – Kotaku Sep 6, 2024 Full Review I'll Be Right There (2024) 86% EDIT “I’ll Be Right There has a gentle simplicity that sets it apart from other films. ” – Vague Visages Sep 6, 2024 Full Review Twisters (2024) 75% 3.5/5 EDIT “While the ride may be similar, you still get swept away by Twisters. It is an exhilarating popcorn flick that feels so rare in the current movie landscape. ” – Video Librarian Magazine Aug 8, 2024 Full Review Tiger 24 (2022) 100% EDIT “This extraordinary documentary arrests the viewer with its sumptuous visuals and high-stakes drama.” – Screen Queens Dec 31, 2022 Full Review Goodbye, Petrushka (2022) 93% EDIT “The film leans heavily on its humor, supported by its effervescent leading lady, and it has a certain je ne sai quoi that makes it a joy to watch. Goodbye, Petrushka is a whimsical delight in every way.” – Screen Queens Jul 29, 2022 Full Review Coast (2021) 62% EDIT “Coast is an earnest coming-of-age film about adolescent discontent with a unique perspective on the pressures of second-generation immigrants. ” – Cinematic Visions Jul 9, 2022 Full Review Single Mother by Choice (2021) 80% EDIT “Despite the melancholy real-life backdrop, Single Mother by Choice balances lighthearted sweetness with a thoughtful reflection on isolation.” – Screen Queens Dec 11, 2021 Full Review Scarborough (2021) 100% EDIT “Scarborough is an unmissable drama with open-hearted energy and an incredible amount of empathy.” – Screen Queens Sep 19, 2021 Full Review The Hill Where Lionesses Roar (2021) 92% EDIT “With her confident point of view and heartfelt prose, Bajrami makes her archetypal narrative seem fresh.” – Vague Visages Sep 15, 2021 Full Review Camp Wedding (2019) 3.5/4 EDIT “Camp Wedding is a splashy throwback to 1980s slashers with a contemporary twist that features an inclusive cast. It has a frothy spirit and theatrical aesthetic that makes it a truly enjoyable watch.” – Video Librarian Magazine Sep 5, 2021 Full Review Shiva Baby (2020) 96% 4/4 EDIT “Seligman and Sennott are a dream team, capturing female insecurity and the clumsy transition into adulthood with a fresh and contemporary shrewdness. Their intelligence and creativity make Shiva Baby destined to become a comedy classic.” – Video Librarian Magazine Jun 17, 2021 Full Review Cut and Chop (2020) EDIT “Hale has a singularly creative directorial vision that makes his surreal horror and dark comedy an intelligent dissection of the murky lines between reality and fiction.” – Screen Queens Nov 29, 2020 Full Review IRL (2019) 100% EDIT “IRL is a penetrating depiction of yearning for connection in a hyper-connected world. It has a poignant resonance that lingers with you long after watching. ” – Screen Queens Nov 11, 2020 Full Review Bruce Springsteen's Letter to You (2020) 97% EDIT “Letter to You is a touching time capsule of a band with a deep, unique kinship that can only be forged over time.” – Backstreets Oct 22, 2020 Full Review Amulet (2020) 73% EDIT “The boldly ambitious and psychedelic Amulet is ultimately too cryptic for its own good; you are unsure of the characters' motivations or what exactly Garai is trying to say.” – Video Librarian Magazine Aug 4, 2020 Full Review
