Critic Reviews for Tangled
...an unreasonably slow-moving drama revolving around the exploits of three one-dimensional characters.
Tangled isn't nearly tangled enough. When this lightweight thriller works at all, it is as a mildly pleasant romance.
Hey, it's the first lame direct-to-DVD movie of 2003!
Audience Reviews for Tangled
Another Rachael Leigh Cook movie :) This is a mild thriller that was easier to figure out than it should have been. Cook's character is likable, though she possesses little common sense. It is a story of unrequited love and what people will do to rectify that situation. Bracco's role is small but she gives a strong performance. Hatosy and Rhys-Myers are okay. Cook's presence (with her innocent looks and charm) bumped it up a notch for me.
This movie was interesting. Jon Rhys Meyers was kinda crazy but apparently not as crazy as Shawn Hatosy who had me completely fooled! Actually a pretty good twist at the end.
It wasn't brilliantly done and you know that there is obviously going to be a twist in the plot at the end due to the title of the movie. The cast blended well with each of other and the triangle was very believable. I think that the ending was just right.
