Haytham O @UtahOcean 18h Don’t get me wrong, there were a lot of problems with this movie. Plot holes, weird dialogue, the worx. But overall, I think it hit a pretty good mark. I gathered some quotes from this movie that I remembered to this day. I think the cast was great, as was the chemistry. Some over the top acting here and there, as well as low moments, but you can feel the tension between groups of characters due to the hierarchy explained in the movie, which I thought was brilliant. It's right up there with lone survivor and we were soldiers. This is how you no you can't trust rotten tomatoes cus this movie has a green splat and it should be fresh. All star cast all star acting great gun scenes. Great story Great ending. Even so, it clearly conveys Benghazi as a preventable tragedy, worsened by slow responses and overly bureaucratic communication that prioritized appearances over effectiveness. While Americans are portrayed as heroes, the film does not depict Libyans as uniformly bad. Several are shown as allies, especially the translator who risks his life to help Americans and remains to rebuild his country. I appreciated the epilogue showing the real security contractors and what became of them. Ambassador Stevens is portrayed as a kind and respected diplomat. Though there was no mass vigil of thousands, many Libyans who knew him valued his work. The image of a boy holding a "Sorry America" sign feels like artistic license, but it reflects the idea that many Libyans wanted peace and did not share the militants' views.
