Gudo is a Soul Keeper, a spirit who guides human souls into their next life. 2026 is a strong year for animation, but "Another World" may be the most emotionally engaging and thoughtful entry. The stripped down animation not only harkens to the anime that made us first love the genre but also emphasizes the VA work. I give it a 9.5/10 and recommend seeing it on any legal platform.

Tommy Ng Kai Chung's Another World is thematically hefty, & has some truly nail-biting action scenes, all of which tend to overpower its underlying hopeful moral. That said, it's an absolutely breathtaking visual spectacle, and well worth watching on the biggest screen possible.

beautiful animation, great lovable characters, storytelling confusing for a lot of the time, some kinda weird choices in localizing names, kind of too dark and philosophical at times, overall really good, almost cried, sound and music not super noticeable but I think pretty good too
