Matt J @RT95392035 11h Well, they tried to fix the violence aspect of it from the first movie. This got an R rating, and that did feel more like it should. However, as other people have mentioned, it was a dark movie and not in a good way. There are so many scenes that you literally can't tell what you're looking at. To the point where it gets annoying. This movie was less silly than the last, but tends to drag on and the characters you just wont care about. You can probably skip this one unless you need to see everything Alien/Predator. I guess they knew the movie was bad so they wanted to cover as much of it as they could. The human story was so forgettable and lame, and it overshadowed what we came here for. A fight between an alien and predator, we only go two fight scenes tops. Terrible stupid ending where everyone loses and no one wins. It’s not legitimately well-made, nor would I like it to be the actual alien or predator lore, but I thought it was a fun piece of fan-fiction. This just sucked. It gives you the R-rating the first one should’ve had, but the expense of any sort of narrative storytelling or cohesive plotting, whatsoever. For for some reason, this film is literally hard to watch. The lighting is terrible, and you can hardly see anything that’s happening in front of you. There’s also a couple real nasty plotlines in here that are just in bad taste, making a bit of the film unpleasant. If you ask me, it’s the worst this franchise has to offer.
