This remake of the TV show is really good, which surprised me. Damon does an even better job as Bourne and Potente does well keeping up.

The plot strikes a balance between feeling like I've seen this a thousand times before and seeing something new, especially since I'm not used to seeing Matt Damon as an action movie protagonist, but the direction and character development work very well, and most importantly, it's a fun and lighthearted film to watch.

A movie that frinetically casts the viewer into an intriguing action-mystery, and it mostly sticks the landing... even if that mystery is fairly obvious and the noted frinetic action, though enjoyable (largely because the wild, constant editing and rollercoaster shaky cam match the mental state of the character), makes each action set-piece a challenge for the viewer to follow and influenced too many poor imitators in the years that followed.
