As the black sheep of the Pixar family, Cars is seen as something of a punching bag. So looking back is it really that bad? Well…yeah? But I've said it before and I'll say it again, a bad Pixar movie is still a good movie. It's not good per se, but it's still surprisingly watchable and charming in its own way. If it's on, I will stick around and watch it. It's cute, it's characters are distinct, and while it's message of slowing down to smell the roses is ancient it's still a solid message. It's a dumb movie, but it's harmless and kind of fun and honestly I find it charming in it's own way. It's not good, but I like it fine.

It's story may be somewhat half-assed, and it's world overly strange and ill-defined, but Cars is still a fun and exceptionally well animated ride that should please watchers of all ages.

Not that much of a great movie anyways, but it's the only movie that kept me thinking when Owen Wilson was in a movie. Better than the sequel.

A fun fresh film that has some funny moments but tends to drag in the middle and lose its momentum, Like all animations these days it's predictable but fun, Nothing more nothing less.
