It's all too depressing to get into, but credit a couple of good gore effects, including a sweet Nate Cox-ing... Go to Full Review

Gary Bullock is obviously the only one who wanted this film to be made (he co-wrote it) and produces an enjoyable performance in an otherwise rather dull and lifeless flick. Go to Full Review

Even the acting, while bad, isn't quite bad enough to be laughable. Go to Full Review

Justin T @RT08580778 Feb 9 This is the first direct sequel. The cinematography and the editing combine to make an unpleasant and jarring experience. It’s probably the director mostly at fault. We knew Isaac is in the film but his reveal is so anticlimactic. Also he’s far less interesting and actually doesn’t really make sense within the lore. None of them are children. It’s the best story since the original but it’s a shame that it’s so boring and nothing happens, surely they could do more with the story. Or just do anything. Thankfully good casting again. The hallucinations are annoying. The middle section is slow. The whole midnight scene with the hose and cuckoo clock was bizarre. One of the worst endings to any film ever and overall the worst in the franchise so far. See more Jelisije J @jjosifovic 04/21/2024 Nothing in this film makes sense and trying to understand the lore compared to the first film is just atrocious. See more Brianna B @RT04373014 02/15/2024 I was really excited for this one and it turned out awful See more 10/08/2023 They could have made some really good follow-up installments to the original, but for some reason fall back on bad writers who fail every single time. Horror flicks are notorious for featuring moronic characters and especially stupid women (as if to almost insist that women are stupid in general), and this CotC installment is no exception. Instead of tediously listing every example in the film, here’s a single good one: the protagonist escapes into the corn field where she is pursued yet successfully evading the mob hunting for her, only to run out into an open roadway in the field and stand around for the inevitable result of her pursuers quickly spotting, surrounding, and capturing her. It’s so painfully stupid to witness such an unbelievable thing that it thoroughly annoys. It’s literally as if the writers needed her to be caught and so for no other possible reason had her run out in the open to wait for her captors to come upon and trap her. Instead of making the girl stupid to effortlessly achieve their goal, the writers could have risen to the challenge of devising some other way to creatively achieve it and trap her, without taking yet another chance to portray women as stupid.
