Critic Reviews for Cloclo
As Gallic showbiz sagas go, it's far better than 'La Vie en Rose', but not quite as distinctive as 'Gainsbourg'.
Jérémie Renier is magnetic in the title role: energetic, infuriating, and oddly creepy.
Too generously scaled at 148 minutes, but pulled off with consistent high style by director Florent-Emilio Siri, and ultimately quite moving.
This biopic of French singer Claude François almost summons the grandeur of a Scorsese personality opera.
Dardenne brothers favourite Jérémie Renier is uncannily good as the tightly wound star, as well as a dead ringer for him.
Audience Reviews for Cloclo
Jeremie Renier has already given his best like he's ever does, I believe. I've never been a real big fan of such kind of "based on true events biopic" however, particularly for those which are so distant from me, like this one, no matter how big name Claude Francois was, in addition to its can't-be-more formulaic story-telling.
The life of one of the biggest French star, Claude Francois who, among a lot of other things, co-wrote and performed the song Comme d'Habitude that was later adapted into one of the most famous song in the world, My Way
