Robert Daniels New York Times 5d
Daniels, an actor skilled at delivering hushed poignancy, shares a sincere rapport with Catlett, who furthers the film’s organic tenor with weary eyes that plead for one’s time and grace. His and Daniels’s steady work makes "Color Book" deserving of both. Go to Full Review

Pamela D W @RT74825761 23h Color Book is one of those films that sneaks up on you in the best way. Written and directed by David Fortune, starring Williams Catlett and Jeremiah Daniels, the movie blends emotional weight with grounded, human storytelling. Catlett brings his usual quiet intensity, and Daniels delivers a surprisingly layered performance. The character, Meech, portrayed by Njema Williams, who gives the film its most memorable moment. Catlett and Williams' scene hits with a mix of heavy emotions, controlled power, and the right touch of humor. It shifts the tone of the film in a way that feels honest and earned. What really makes the moment special is how it allows men to be both sensitive and vulnerable without losing strength. The film itself is beautifully shot that takes you on an emotional journey. But it’s the performances overall that give Color Book its heartbeat. If this movie is a sign of what’s ahead for David Fortune, the cast and crew, we are in for something special.
