Arizona lawman Walt Coogan hopes to make a short business trip to the big city, but his journey quickly becomes an odyssey of violence. Walt is flummoxed when Manhattan police put the brakes on his plan to return a jailed murderer to the Southwest. Bent on getting his man, he temporarily outwits the New Yorkers, only to be plunged into a series of ugly confrontations with counterculture types who are the antithesis of the straitlaced Walt.

The material involving Coogan's pursuit of Ringerman is solid, but too much time is spent on a dreary relationship between Coogan and a probation officer (Susan Clark); their will-they-or-won't-they status would grow tiresome even in a romantic comedy.

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são mais ou menos, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom, o filme teve algumas cenas de brigas, com uma perseguição perto do final que acabou de um jeito normal, com tudo isso, eu até recomendo esse filme.

Coogan comes from Arizona, not Texas, to NYC where he chases women and crooks. It's no better just because Clint Eastwood is in it, and the best part is probably the music.

Great fun! . Clint is at his laconic yet menacing best. Great time capsule of the swinging 60's and the seedy and grotty side of New York way back then. Don't know how i ever missed seeing this but finally have ( 55 years later)😆. That's the beauty of film . Happy to have at last , " discovered " this Eastwood gem.

Clint and Don were the 1960's-1970's dynamic due of action movies, and this film shows that. It's got the grit and excitement you'd expect, and that makes it worth watching.
