Movie Info

Written and directed by Cui Zi'en, Aiyaya, Qu Buru (Feeding Boys, Aiyaya) is a frank, sexually explicit look at the culture of gay male prostitutes in contemporary China. The plot revolves around Dabin, a Christian evangelist with a mission: He wants to reform China's entire hustler population, particularly his own younger brother, Xiao Bo. Meanwhile, a young man plans to sell his virginity for 10,000 dollars, while another tries to explain why he believes prostitutes are actually a higher, if misunderstood, social class than most people. Other highlights include a traditional Chinese family's reaction to their son's untraditional line of work, a runaway, and a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of the lifestyle. ~ Tracie Cooper, Rovi
