Chow Yun-Fat does good performance as a drifter who befriends a young couple in Hong Kong during World War II. Director Leong Po-chih tells the story as a flashback, in nostalgic gold hues, with an unusual attentiveness to character and plot.

This is just an absolutely spectacular movie. I can't really say anything else except rent it, buy it... Whatever, just watch it for yourself.
