Hope is pretty much extremely visceral chase scenes strung together with iffy rural Korean humor thrown in. The film's many, unrelenting and prolonged car/horse chase sequences are truly impressive and need to be seen in theaters on the big screen.

Definitely another surprise movie of the year. It was very intense very exciting. It didn’t feel difficult to read the subtitles and stay engaged into the movie. The only critique I have is that the CGI was not up to par but a good movie nonetheless.

This really should be 5 stars because most of this is best of the decade material. However, the last 10 minutes is so bad that it soured the whole movie. Genuinely baffling note to end on. Still a great time overall though.

Trash movie. Spent the first 40 minutes just running around the village. The actors were shooting at absolutely nothing, and the first 30 minutes were just air and gunfire, which was so dumb. It took forever to even show the monster. Then the rest of the movie was basically people running around the forest. I didn’t even finish it because it got so weird with a spaceship coming down to Earth, and the aliens wouldn’t fucking die. We just got up and left. Complete waste of time.
