Subsequently stranded in the forest after an accident renders his father (Lance Henriksen) immobile, the son vows not to give up on him as a terrifying onslaught of phantoms and monsters emerge from the trees. This direct-to-video horror flick has some good ideas working, but the execution (especially the writing and direction) is weak.

Audience Reviews for It's In The Blood

The small story is evocative. The cast is excellent. Music is appropriate and the shooting style keeps events interesting. Combining all of these elements with a psychological drama creates for a very effective film.

"Its in The Blood" is a rare suspense/horror flick of today that completely throws out todays standards (explain and show everything!), its a keen independent film! Relying on suspense, the strength of its two leads and only using the supernatural creature(s?)/element as a character development tool rather than being the focus of the actual film. "Its in The Blood" is something you should see now because itll be one of those that wont be fully recognized till probably years after it was actually released!

Must See!, Author: Alice Anne Albano from United States The unfolding of the story was presented in a refreshing, confusing, provocative manner. A style of storytelling and filming I have not experienced before. Lance Henriksen, as Russell, presents a heartfelt, authentic portrayal. Sean Elliot, as October, plays perfectly against this veteran actor. They are father and son. Scooter Downey and Sean Elliot are the authors of this deeply frightening film. Mr. Downey as director manipulates sound, lighting, the setting, the actors in such a way to impart a sense of dread and horror. We are drawn into their experience. We become disoriented, bewildered, and perhaps we cannot escape. It is almost like you can taste the emotion and fear.
