A bothersome zombie flick that I just can't shake off.

When Nyong'o is the focus the whole film steps up a notch - the scenes where she's protecting her students, either physically or by pretending the zombies are all playing a game, are easily the high point of the film

A bloody, curse-filled zombie romp with a surprising sweet side.

With any new zombie film there is a pressure to find a new angle and writer-director Abe Forsythe has definitely found it.

Despite Little Monsters' marketing of Lupita Nyong'o as headliner, she sees her screen time eroded by other characters.
