Extremely hard one to rate and review. It is absolute poo, do not get me wrong. The story barely makes sense, the acting is hammy and the drawn out go carting scene is excruciating, I nearly switched this off right there - I felt like I was watching the Disney channel.
However. I did find I couldn't quite write it off and I did want to see the ending. David Boreanaz does hold this up somewhat (and I am not, and never was, a rabid fan). Even though logically, I know this is atrocious, I do see myself watching this again at some point. Sadly.
My favorite "Angel" star, David Boreanaz is in this movie playing Lance Valenteen, who hires himself out as a fixer of relationships-gone-bad. He courts his subjects, eventually getting them to fall madly in love with him. Then he drops the bombshell on the unsuspecting female by becoming a total jerk and making whatever the ex-boyfriend did seem like child's play. Love is and always will be in man's search for happiness. Sometimes, we forget what the true meaning of love is and need to be reminded. The biggest surprise was the movie's depth and the way it addresses aging, loneliness and regret. This movie warms and cheers the emotions of the heart. You'll laugh and you'll cry as you feel David's search for love. Alana De La plays the role of Sophia note perfect, with a dashing combination of innocence and beauty. I enjoyed it ....maybe because of all the trashy movies I've seen recently......it's light entertainment that doesn't take itself too seriously!!!
Wow! I had already rated this before. Oh well. An interesting movie with David Boreanaz starring. Here is a story about a guy who fixes relationships for others, but when dealing with a relationship of his own it becomes a whole other thing. Hilarious! Definitely worthy.
