Nick Offerman's affable stage presence carries this fairly routine standup concert film. Go to Full Review

Trevor J @Trevor217 3d This felt less like a comedy show and more like a tedious book-sale presentation with occasional sympathy laughs. If you’re expecting stand-up — or even something resembling structured comedy — you’ll be disappointed. The show drifts through rambling stories, mild opinions, and self-indulgent tangents with very little payoff. Long stretches feel flat, unfocused, and frankly boring. Nick Offerman is clearly charismatic, but charisma alone doesn’t carry a live audience for this long. The pacing is sluggish, the humor sparse, and the tone often veers into lecture territory. Instead of jokes, there’s a lot of "here’s how I feel about this" delivered without much comedic framing. By the midpoint, it feels like the show is daring the audience to stay engaged. If you’re a die-hard fan who enjoys his books, woodworking philosophy, or slow, meandering storytelling, you might tolerate it. If you came for laughs, you’ll leave wondering why this was billed as comedy at all. See more 02/28/2017 Re: Ben Hamann - Lmao, you're clearly a white, straight Christian. Your review is so much funnier than this special. See more 01/17/2016 If you are hoping he is like Ron Swanson, and you want to continue to like Ron Swanson, DO NOT WATCH. Summary - white people are shitty, the bible is stupid, the Quran has good lessons, every other word is an F bomb, by the advice of Jesus he had sex with his male neighbor as a kid for many years, gay marriage is the best, blah blah ad nauseum. Its a social al justice warrior public service announcement promoting militant liberal nonsense. What a let down. Had to turn it off. See more 08/03/2015 Big adorable ham of a guy! See more Benton M @michiganmoney 05/08/2015 Love him on parks. Going solo? No! Wish he would have skipped lessons 1 to 9, crammed his 10 minutes of funny material into the tenth lesson and called it good. See more 05/07/2015 This special finds Nick Offerman framing comedy skits, musical numbers, and stand-up around ten tips for living a better life. Recurring motifs include cunnilingus, Christianity, cunnilingus AND Christianity, red meat, going outdoors (sometimes for cunnilingus), self -esteem, legal definitions of parody, and Nick Offerman's adoration for his wife (which leads to cunnilingus). The individual pieces are a bit hit-or-miss, but Nick Offerman is a likable performer in just about any context. Fans of his Ron Swanson character on Parks & Recreation should have no trouble getting into American Ham. See more Read all reviews
