Audience Reviews for Night Must Fall

A nice older film noir brought to an exciting finish involving a hat box. Perhaps not thrilling at face value, the entertainment worthiness is high.

Unsettling thriller, with Robert Montgomery as a suspected murderer and Rosalind Russell as the uptight woman who both loathes him and is attracted to him. It is a bit long, but they, along with Dame May Whitty, give top performances.

Betrays its origins on the stage in a bit too much speechmaking and some touches of melodrama. But it maintains its suspense pretty well and it features excellent performances by its three principals.
