Astronauts Payton (Dennis Quaid) and Bower (Ben Foster) awake in a hypersleep chamber with no memory of who they are or what their mission might be. While Payton stays behind to monitor the radio transmitter, Bower ventures out of the chamber into the seemingly abandoned spaceship. The men quickly realize that they are not alone and that the fate of mankind hinges on what they do next.

It’s basically a zombie movie set-up on an industrial spaceship, a fast-moving B-movie that throws out lots of theories that don’t stand up to the light of reason and then moves on to the next chase and feeding frenzy by the mutant hordes.

I'm not a big SciFi fan, but I AM a big Ben Foster fan, which is why I decided to try watching this movie. As usual, I struggled with the futuristic technical dialog, but most of the actors did a passable job; and, as always, I loved Ben Foster. It was also surprizing to see Cung Le in this movie. The last time I saw him was towards the end of his MMA career. So, I assume hard-core SciFi fans will probably enjoy this movie. As for the rest of us ... well ...

Not great, but it scratches the SciFi itch. I could do with a little less zombie apocalypse and a little more science in the science fiction, but it's OK.

Pandorum might have fared better with more iconic monster designs and a few less 'epic twists', but aside from some obvious plot holes and schlocky camerawork to hide its budget constraints, it's a pretty well-realized little film. Just don't expect it to achieve anything in particular.

There were a lot of messy moments of the movie but it wasn't bad. I really liked the ending!! If you are a huge sci fi fan and ran out of sci fi movies to watch, in that case I recommend. The mutants or whatever those are- were absolutely disgusting, the child one was the creepiest!
