Movie Info

Counterculture auteur Jon Moritsugu takes potshots at the San Francisco Bay Area underground rock community in this award-winning deadpan comedy. Wannabe filmmaker Miles (Kyp Malone) and aging rocker Roxxy (Amy Davis) are on the verge of becoming has-beens but refuse to give up the ghost without a good dose of public histrionics. Moritsugu's use of analog rather than digital media lends a gritty edge to his terrifically trashy satire.

This is a quick-witted, smartly poignant effort from someone who's earned his indie cred and has hit upon a rich new vein for counterculture comedy: slacker desperation.

The characters in this video, denizens of the San Francisco art fringe, seem like they're heavily sedated.
