Centuries ago, a supernatural champion named Master Gregory (Jeff Bridges) defeated Mother Malkin (Julianne Moore), a malevolent witch. Now, she has escaped imprisonment and thirsts for vengeance. She summons her followers and prepares to unleash her wrath on humanity. Only one thing stands in her way: Master Gregory. Gregory takes Tom Ward (Ben Barnes) as his new apprentice, but he has only until the next full moon to teach Tom what usually takes years: how to prevail against dark magic.

Seventh Son is a pretty by-the-book fantasy tale. The young apprentice storyline is a common one, so there aren't a lot of surprises when it comes to the plot. For me...it depends on the execution, and this is where I think the movie succeeds...mostly

Very good, no idea how the consensus can be so negative. Excellent and stellar cast all very convincing in character and I would not say their talent is being "squandered". Strange story ingredients, wtf?, what do you expect, it's a fantasy, dick. Certainly NOT a dull adventure. Good writing, great cinematography and visually stunning. Lots of action, adventure, drama, humor (sometimes haha, sometimes peculiar), intrigue, mystery, magic, mesmerizing thingamajigs and emotion. Let's talk again in ten years or so, when this movie resurfaces as a classic. Entertaining and gripping

É um desperdício de história, elenco e do tempo de quem assiste. Não tem nada parecido com a linha cronológica dos livros, é uma bagunça sem fim, momentos aleatórios que consomem muito tempo de tela, fatos que no livro Tom aprende com o tempo, aqui ele simplesmente é iluminado do além com um conhecimento. Horrível. Consegue ser pior que a adaptação do segundo filme de Percy Jackson.
