The greatest compliment that can be paid to Carlen and Robichaud is that you'll wish there was more of their film. Go to Full Review

Shadows of Freedom is the type of documentary that can easily be shown in history classes as part of any curriculum about World War II. Go to Full Review

informative and enlightening but doesn't offer anything beyond the usual documentary fare. Go to Full Review

09/22/2020 This doc does what all great ones should: it highlights something that is largely unknown in a unique and informative fashion. This slice of World War II history is really fascinating! I knew very little about Operation Torch and nothing whatsoever about this small, very young group of mostly Jewish resistors who had a real impact on the war effort in North Africa; and probably beyond... I found a lot of the archival footage to be top notch and really enjoyed the creative use of animations as well. The interviewees were also very knowledgeable and engaging. Overall, in my opinion this is a must see and I hope it gets a large audience!! See more Read all reviews
