An honest retelling of this story which has been filmed many times and certainly one that Arthur Conan Doyle may have approved of. Unfortunately Ian Richardson, for all his acting talents, is woefully miscast as the great detective.

I am using this movie as a stand-in for all the Grenada Television dramatizations starring Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke.

Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles Quotes

Sir Henry Baskerville: Martin Shaw seems to have been unable to acieve an American accent, and has been dubbed from the start, most shots are from an angle not requiring much lipm synch! Ian Richardson is an amiable Holmes, no haughty demeanor!
