Movie Info

When an obsessive recluse discovers the cursed parts of the original killing machine, The Mangler takes it's deadliest form yet in this installment of the long-running series inspired by Stephen King's short story. Upon discovering the parts of the original Mangler, a handy fix-it man named Hadley (Weston Blakesley) reconstructs the bloodthirsty machine to horrifying results. As the machine takes possession over the weak-willed Hadley, the evil that festers deep within drives him to become a murderous psychopath whose sadism knows no bounds. When a pair of father/son burglars set their sights on the rampaging repair man's modest home, the carnage they find within has them running for their lives.

crap crap crap

Somehow these things make just enough money to warrant subsequent installments, which I find sadly hilarious.

Arrow in the Head

Shot in a mere 10 days on a price tag smaller than a used Ford Taurus, the result is the best installment in the Mangler series, even if that is faint praise.

The Mangler Reborn is by far the best one in this series.

Audience Reviews for The Mangler Reborn

Extremely low budget, The Mangler Reborn is barely a film. There's no real story, a guy just goes around hitting people with a rubber mallet (it's that dumb). And the "acting" is dreadful, and is made immeasurably worse by the amateurish directing. Incompetent in every way possible, The Mangler Reborn is unwatchable garbage.

½

The Mangler Reborn was entertaining in parts, and it was more successful than the previous sequel because it was at least connected to the original film and story in some way other than its name. However, The Mangler Reborn was severely lacking in one department--it needed more scenes with the actual Mangler!!!! If you're going to make such a film, you can't skimp on the gore and torture scenes, and this film often denies the very scenes that would make it watchable for fans of crappy horror cinema.

(***): A big surprise. This is a direct-to-DVD effort that is surprisingly tense and full of bloody gore. It is cheesy at times but it does have an appearance by Reggie Bannister (Phantasm) and is alot better than one would expect.
