07/02/2013 Long movie of the week with Tom Cavanagh playing lead detective, way out of his depth as a serious actor, trying to figure out who is killing the Seattle ladies of the night and dumping their bodies into the green river. The re-enactments are bit sleazy and the story is also told in first person by one of the Killers victims. The story leads us down the proccedal path of the victims keep piling up and there is not much to do to stop the murders according to police. The police seem to be mishandling the cases from the get go and it doesn't fully explain why more wasn't doesn't to stop the murders from continuing. Story would have been better if just told from the perspective of the victims and not from the view point of the top cop.. The execution is terribly predictable, and its likewise horrible dialogues only make it worse. Not a single performance is credible. See more 05/23/2012 The real-life hunt for a notorious serial killer, as seen through the partial, self-justifying perspective of the detective in charge of the investigation, Dave Reichert. Many people at the time, and some still, believe this detective was pretty inept. The killings continued for many years; it was a DNA match that finally brought the cops to the culprit, whom they'd let slip through their hands long before. In this made for TV movie though this detective Reichert is the one and only hero of the piece, guided by religious visions (seriously!), till the Case is Closed.
