The colors, sets and style, everything was so vibrant and beautiful, very appealing. The cast was also incredible although in my opinion would’ve been better to have one more female lead. Saoirse and Tilda were amazing but one more female lead was missing in my opinion. I can so easily imagine Kate Winslet or Helena Bonham Carter in this. Overall, the movie is very entertaining and takes you on a journey. There are so many details that are so well thought through and added so much to the story and experience. From the perspective of color and light I wish ppl would make more movies like this because it was so much fun and it was so stunning. Absolute royal perfection from start to finish. Man, what a movie! The visuals are insanely pleasing - those rich, ancient royal aesthetics hit different. The camera work, editing, and color grading are all top tier. Not every time you get this perfection. This is truly special. But this film—the narrative, the plot, the characters, the music, the script, the mise-en-scène—everything feels as if this story couldn't be told any other way, as if the hotel itself were an aesthetic. Fiennes and his character carry the film amazingly. It feels as if he were the embodiment of the hotel. The meta-literary interplay—a story within a story—is incredibly creative. Although I initially thought it might be pretentious, the truth is that it plays with the senses while developing human emotions that add complexity to the characters. It doesn't feel like a fairy tale; it feels like a real, relatable story: a hidden past, an undeserved legacy, a questionable employee... everything comes together dramatically.
