Movie Info

Lobo is one of a litter of five wolves born in the wilds of New Mexico. He soon must fend for himself when his mother is killed and his father is trapped. The lone wolf wanders until he joins a pack, where he must daily prove his acceptance before becoming leader of the pack. His brushes with the human world often lead to danger, such as gunfire and speeding automobiles. When his mate is trapped by a hunter, Lobo follows. The hunter is no match for the cunning wolf, who manages to stay one step ahead of the hunter's many traps. The wily wolf battles a bellicose badger. His adventures make him realize he must stay away from humans in order to survive. Rex Allen provides the folksy narration in this Walt Disney production. The Sons Of The Pioneers deliver songs with their distinctive Western cowboy flavor.

A lot less charming than it surely was back in the Kennedy era.

Audience Reviews for The Legend of Lobo

110722. I remember these Disney movies from my youth. They seemed so enticing at the time. But, that time has passed. Found this while looking for Westerns. Actually watched the whole thing but it took three sittings. Leave it in the archives and, perhaps, never bring it back out.
