Very nice movie about the mysterious death of India's 2nd Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri and attempts to uncover if he had died a natural death, or, as alleged, was assassinated.
One -- a story that was needed to be told. Two -- slaps on the faces of self-proclaimed critics.
Its a must watch!! A real story has been brought to light!!
A political drama needs to have strong facts, revealing truths and gripping screenplay! This film handled the first two parts decently but utterly failed in the most important aspect ; the Screenplay & Script. Sluggishly written plot, along with weak editing, misfit sound score, shaky camerawork, poor characterisation, wasteful scenes and unnecessary stretches ; all of these made the film a big disappointment for me. The last 20 minutes, the final act of the movie saved it from being doomed! As for the performances go, it was hit & miss. The cast here is tremendously talented but when you are given a low quality script to act upon ; no actor could express his/her true potential! In the end it's a film about the controversial death of Shree Lal Bahadur Shastri, and it's consequences afterwards in our country. You could surely watch it For the facts and various unknown knowledge about that event which was presented in here. But it would be really hard to sit through until the final act begins. As that's the only highlight of this film. Sad but the truth.
Good plot spoilt by bad writing and horrible direction. All in all, it was a shit movie.
