Dedicated environmental lawyer Lucy Kelson (Sandra Bullock) goes to work for billionaire George Wade (Hugh Grant) as part of a deal to preserve a community center. Indecisive and weak-willed George grows dependent on Lucy's guidance on everything from legal matters to clothing. Structurally, the film's off-kilter. The start of the relationship is rushed through, while the supposedly crucial notice period feels increasingly directionless. Which leaves the comic strand - and that, by and large, delivers.

Hugh Grant romance movies have always been a favorite of mine. I rewatched this movie today after picking it up cheap at a thrift store, and it did not disappoint. The banter between Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock is classic.

Two Weeks Notice is a light, charming rom-com that succeeds mainly because of its leads. Sandra Bullock brings warmth, wit, and relatability to Lucy Kelson, making her easy to root for even when the script feels thin. Hugh Grant is clearly in his comfort zone as the arrogant-but-lovable George Wade, and his chemistry with Bullock carries the film through its predictable beats. The story itself is simple and very much a product of its era, with jokes and plot turns that don’t always land by today’s standards. The screenplay has flaws and could have benefited from tighter pacing and sharper development, but it never becomes unpleasant. While it’s not especially memorable or endlessly rewatchable, Two Weeks Notice delivers a cozy, humorous experience. It’s a cute, easy watch that works best when you let it be exactly what it is.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom.
