Sophie P @RT92311139 Jul 14 This film had me capture the whole way through. It takes you on such an emotional journey, and is funny, and weird in the best way. The main character is a total mess, but somehow you still root for him. You feel like you're right there in the middle of it all with the main character, Ruben. The humor is dark but had me laughing out loud more than once. Some parts are awkward, but that's kind of the point. It's not trying to be perfect, and that's what makes it so good. Definitely one of the most unique films I've seen in a while. Would totally recommend if you want something different, and so impressed with it for a debut Indie film. For something made on a tiny budget by folks I've never heard of, it's seriously impressive. The story pulls you in straight away, and there's a rawness to it that feels really real. It's funny in that dark, awkward British way, but there's proper heart to it too. It doesn't feel like an hour and twenty minutes, it goes by so quickly because it's so fast paced! You can tell everyone involved really cared. Fair play, this puts some big budget stuff to shame. Can't believe it's not more well-known. Absolute gem. Give it a watch! Gritty, strange, and weirdly funny-it felt so real and different from anything I've seen lately, and so relevant to today's social climate. The lead performance was brilliant. I couldn't believe it was a debut film and made on such a tiny budget. It honestly looks and feels way bigger than that. The filmmakers obviously knew exactly what they wanted it to be. I won't give away anything because I wouldn't want to spoil it, but something happened that I definitely didn't see coming! If you're into bold, original storytelling, give this a watch.
