Movie Info

This is the story of a short trip that introduces a long journey to finding the truth. Vanesa travels to Geneva, Switzerland, for a week to meet with the Committee on the Rights of the Child and report what happened with her brother Luciano Arruga. Luciano was a teenager when he disappeared on January 31, 2009, and was found buried without a name five years and eight months later in a municipal cemetery in the city of Buenos Aires. Vanessa tells us in details the story of how she, together with other young people, during all these years was conducting a research, which at first was reclusive and helplessness, but gradually transformed into a much stronger collective search. A vast audiovisual record of Vanessa's story is interlaced with the search group's activities and reveals the closeness and understanding of its members. After years of research and close familiarity with the operations of the group, the young people joined together to demand justice and truth for Luciano. As the story progresses, the focus shifts from the political and police framework behind disappearance and the death of the boy to the growth of Vanessa and the group of young people in defense of human rights.
