Let me just start off by saying that I'm pretty easily impressed by a horror film. I like to set the bar low, so I'm pretty much guaranteed to have a good time, unfortunately, Wrong Turn 3 didn't really hit the spot... At all. So, I've been a pretty big fan of Wrong Turn ever since it came out, and Wrong Turn 2: Dead End, was an entertaining (although not particularly relevant) sequel. Wrong Turn had Eliza Dushku going for it, which is always worthwhile, not to mention a stellar cast of bad guys, and a pretty freaky plot. Dead End amped up the gore, got pretty offtrack from the first, and had way to many Tasmani- uh... "mutants", in it, but all in all was a cool concept. Left for Dead on the other hand, seems to have taken the worst parts of the first 2, and made them even worse. As soon as the credits roll you gotta be sceptical. Already there's only four characters, and you hate them all (a trend which continues the entire film, seriously for 91 minutes there is not a single likeable character). The effects were worse than ever, the blood looks like goon, the script is terrible, and apparently we've forgotten about every mutant that was ever introduced in the series except for Three-Finger (pictured above). I often find I have less to say and am more critical of a movie when I watch by myself, quite honestly though, I don't think I could force any one else to go through this garbage for the sake of a blog. I do have two nice things to say about Wrong Turn 3, but it's not much. Firstly, although the entire movie's terrible, the worst parts are all at the beginning, so at least you get them out of the way first, and secondly, as a "filmmaker" myself, ku-fucking-dos to Mr. Declan O'Brien for shooting a feature length film, beginning to end, in just 24 days. Although I have technically seen worse films in my life, that's all that I can say for it. 19% -Gimly

Cast: Tom Frederic, Janet Montgomery, Tamer Hassan, Gil Kolirin, Tom McKay, Christian Contreras, Jake Curran, Charles Venn, Emma Clifford, Mike Straub Director: Declan O'Brien Summary: A group of friends heads for the woods, only to end up on the menu for a cannibalistic mutant known as Three Finger. Only Fonda (Janet Montgomery) manages to survive, and she's soon joined by a truckload of escaped convicts also fleeing the ravenous freak. Throw in a cache of stolen money to distract the escapees and an unsuspecting search party, and it's a virtual smorgasbord for Three Finger. My Thoughts: "The gore is great and that's about it. The story is ridiculous, the character's are annoying and the time of the film seems much longer then what it is. As it goes your hoping for all of them to be killed so it can be over with. Not original and not at all worth seeing again. Unfortunately the ending leaves you with the suggestion of another film to come, and I believe there is one. As crappy as this one was, I just know I'll be pulled into seeing the fourth."

'Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead' is a definite fall from grace as the filmmakers attempt to include outrages booby traps and fresh death scenes which ultimatly fall flat.
