Much of the film is spent either reminding and recalling previous events in other films, or foreshadowing events that are due to happen in a future sequel. The sheer quantity of character threads fracture the film’s structure.

Esta pelicula desperdicia el origen del villano, Apocalypse parecía ser el mutante mas poderoso pero la idea estaba en escena pero no había desarrollo del personaje. Respecto a los nuevos héroes siento que los guionistas no respectan la historia de origen de cada uno porque en cada pelicula las cosas van cambiando.

I didn’t hate it. I just think this movie has the same problem that the last stand had with too many characters and too many story lines with no clear vision, message or main character. Magneto is absolutely amazing in this movie, and I also like they brought back nightcrawler and mystique was good too. But they threw in Wolverine for no reason. Overall just no clear vision

An incredibly messy, but fairly entertaining X-Men movie. The movie is disappointing for fans for the comics. But on its own, it's still decently watchable. Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse is pretty cool and fairly menacing, even if he looks too short and the makeup/voice effects could be better. The movie has some drawbacks with diminished special effects and less characterization for the new younger characters. Mystique doesn't have much to do in this movie. There's a lot going on with a lot of new characters, yet the plot and characters feel spread thin. It's nice to see Magneto be briefly happy with his new family before it's ripped away from him. Quicksilver is revealed to be Magneto's son, but there isn't a huge payoff to this revelation. The slow-mo Quicksilver rescue scene at the Xavier Mansion was awesome. Overall, it's entertaining, but too dense with too many characters and subplots to really let anything marinate into something impactful like the last two X-Men prequels.
