Comer...delivers a stunning performance, playing on many levels at once, her growing disbelief as she understands she has spent much of her prime so isolated, convincing and heartbreaking. Go to Full Review

Despite the intentional opacity of Comer's character in many scenes, she is fantastic, delivering an intensely physical performance that illustrates how often trauma manifests in the body. Go to Full Review

It's just a pale, murky example of how an artistic surface can't gloss over an unconvincing foundation of plot and characters underneath. Go to Full Review

The premise for BBC3's first big online drama release is simple: kidnapped girl miraculously escapes her captor after years living in fear. But the story that unfolds is much more complicated. Go to Full Review

The crime itself is supposed to be one of the major alluring elements of Thirteen, but the more we learn about the case the less enticing it becomes. Go to Full Review

One of the great things about this series is that it forces you to confront your own lazy habits of thought, like judging characters in circumstances about which you know nothing. Go to Full Review

Joanne G @Malakaskila Jan 8 Very good but did not make much sense. Woman police office tad up her self and why secrets between headmaster and mother of kidnapped girl? What was going on with her sisters boyfriend, he seemed guilty as well. Bit of a miss mash but still good. See more jimmy J. @Immadrinkyomilkshake Dec 18 A Masterclass in How NOT to Write a Mystery Rating: 0/10 (The Absolute Bottom of the Barrel) If you enjoy watching characters make the worst possible decisions for five straight hours, then Thirteen is for you. For everyone else, it is a complete waste of time and a masterclass in frustration. The detectives in this show are arguably the most incompetent fictional characters ever put on screen. See more Barbara D @Barbs86 Aug 21 I landed up binge watching this it definitely captivated my curiosity and attention There were great moments to watch ...her and her sister bonding. Her and Tim getting close The movie doesn't go into her trauma, abuse she endured during her captivity. All those bruises on her body were Never explained I disliked the det Lisa , I felt she Never showed real empathy toward Ivy ...it was her constantly questioning and accusing her And she seemed fixated on trying to prove she waz a Liar .. Them arresting her for a murder after everything she had been thru was Dispicable and I knew right away she had nothing to do with Whites brother's murder. You definitely felt her pain when she told the story 💔 And then the betrayal of Elliot and I loved how she told him. You're Not s friend or family, you're just a cop doing his job All in all it was a good series, it shows the EVIL we have amongst us and how we need good detective work to Fight the evilness and bring these monsters to justice Also great detective work is imperative in solving the crime quickly otherwise case goes cold and missing person is never Found See more Karen B @RT12499144 02/12/2025 It sucked me in! Amazing acting by Jodi Comer. See more Cheryl F @RT92941228 12/01/2024 This miniseries started out so intriguing. Then red herrings started to pop up everywhere that put the mystery writing to shame. Clues are supposed to be clues, and good mysteries are tight, no loose ends. This show is full of loose ends, and few twists. Even her reason for not telling what she knew all along made no sense, even for a trauma victim. Don't bother with this one. See more DL W @RT66091538 04/06/2024 I was disappointed with this series. We never really find out what really happened in the past with the abducted girl. The police were horrible at their jobs. There was very little depth to the characters. It did keep my interest enough to finish the mini-series. I just found if to be very “bland”. See more Read all reviews
