Dave S @RT33157569 03/07/2025 One of the best series I've ever watched. The compelling portrayal of the lives of ordinary citizens, whose worlds are turned upside down by the occupation of the Germans, pulls the viewer into a place budding with realism and moral drama. The characters are brilliantly portrayed. The writing is as good as it gets. This is an important series for everyone. It tracks the actions and decisions that people are forced to make due to the earth shattering circumstances thrust upon them. Hats off to the entire cast and crew. I had a front row seat into a gripping, thought- provoking history classroom. See more Robert M @RT01909882 07/15/2023 The best fictional series for World War Two that has appeared on television. One of the best historical dramas in television history. Not much action by American standards. It's a thoughtful series with an emphasis on character development and reflection. The series ends in the 21st century with the survivors still asking, "What happened to us?" This is how history happens. See more David K @RT74722413 06/11/2023 This is an absolutely outstanding series, a must-see for anyone interested in an accurate portrayal of history. Quite riveting, and at times moving. See more 06/02/2020 Entertaining. This season seemed like writers were rushed to end the series. A bit preachy all season. The Nazis were portrayed in a more favorable light than the Americans, gum chewing, arrogant, extortionist, rapist, pretty unessential late comers to the war. Good acting though and compelling story line other than the stereotypes. See more Read all reviews
