That this frustrating documentary comes with an upbeat ending is another unearned privilege. Go to Full Review

aka Charlie Sheen is long on clips and footage that could have been truncated to deliver a more streamlined documentary experience. Still, seeing an iconic actor finally looking better than he has in a long time is good. Go to Full Review

And Sheen, “somehow makes a disreputable character loveable”. More than anything though, he makes the debauchery entertaining. And that, rather than any remorse, is the overriding impression of this film. Go to Full Review

"AKA Charlie Sheen" comes across as self-serving, but fans of the actor will find it entertaining enough. Go to Full Review

Madam D @Madam1948 Apr 15 Unsure why everyone loves him so much, but I had little regard for his addictions. See more Eric B @EricB10 Apr 6 I've watched several of these Netflix docs about various stars and athletes. Easily one of the best. Where most cover the highs and lows as reflected in various crises of confidence, this one is of course about life and death, occurring more than once. It is a miracle this guy is alive, but a testament to him, his friend's and family's love, and if you're devout like Martin Sheen, to G-d's grace. And as everyone says, you cannot help but truly like Charlie Sheen, for this doc lays him out bare, and I believe I am seeing this man as he is. I mean, after everything, what has he got to hide? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. They say, "the truth shall set you free". Not only does it appear to do it, but one gets the feeling that despite the pain from his troubles, he is almost amused, grateful to be able to tell the tale, and the more truth, the more of each. See more JM M @jmmch Jan 4 He is someone that received many opportunities in life and shows how he trashed everything. Not a role model, he damaged everybody close to him. Very bad example, very immature. See more Frizz T @Frizzbizz Dec 28 How is anybody so unaware of what an abhorrent human being this man really is. He deserves to lose everything for all the heinous stuff he conveniently skipped right over. Do ya research. Dude is a selfish egomaniac who abused countless good people, and nothing he's been through gives him a pass on the things he was silent about. See more David F @dfulmer Dec 24 A good Hollywood biopic. See more Mark A. @iggysc Nov 7 Gritty and real! Hard to come by these days in movies and I enjoyed seeing all the great stars with Charlie in grade school growing up together. What an amazing life and it was real. Enjoy. See more Read all reviews
