What to Know

Critics Consensus

Careening from one genre to the next, this collaboration between Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli navigates tonal whiplash deftly enough to arrive at the platonic ideal of anxious comedy.

You will be richly rewarded. If, that is, you like dark, dark comedy, weird idiosyncrasy and a scalpel-sharp script that is prepared to go to places that others don’t. Go to Full Review

The prim and pious should best avoid this irreverent, outrageous six-part British import that dabbles a little too casually at times with different genres and tone shifts. Go to Full Review
Judy Berman TIME Magazine 04/29/2023
Sure to hit the spot for fans of series like Dead to Me and Fleabag, in which extremely relatable women wrestle with extremely dark secrets. Go to Full Review

It relies too heavily on the performances to bolster an otherwise rudimentary and forgettable script that uses shock to drive the plot. Go to Full Review

Am I Being Unreasonable? should be appreciated as one goes. Binging will get you some answers, yes. However, make sure not to miss everything else along the way. Go to Full Review

Nonetheless, Am I Being Unreasonable? is still lots of fun, and a quick binge you probably won't be able to stop yourself from taking if you watch the first episode. Go to Full Review

Nicky P @Nickeeeeeeeeee Sep 3 Overall ok, but the lead actress is annoying and not cut out for comedy- her delivery is stunted at best. I could only make it through a few episodes before I pulled the plug. See more David H 03/05/2025 A dire offering; absurd and trivial nonsense. See more Mandy C 02/08/2025 I am late to the party with this one - what a hidden gem of a show! Just caught up on season 1 now thanks to reading an interview with the very talented Lenny Rush, and my goodness what a treat it is. I was expecting straight comedy, but it's so much more than that. Jump-scares, genuine emotional drama, laugh out load moments, and a brilliantly twisty plot. Daisy May Cooper is a genius. See more Elysia L 02/06/2025 a bunch of entertaining psychos See more Kalissa H @kali_416 07/28/2023 I did not know if I would like this show, but I really enjoyed it. The ending was shocking and made me want more! See more Margaret F 05/10/2023 Following the chaotic but comedic life of a mother, it is hard to get the tone of some of the scenes (sadness? horrific? funny?). However, I laughed out loud enough times that it did not matter. The main character ,Nic, strong minded and a bit crabby, meets up with a slightly lost and possibly creepy other mother ,Jen, at their childrens school. The plot is not a straight forward but involves flashbacks to a stressful time for Nic. The side characters are well developed. Her son Ollie stands out for his own ability to create comedy out of the driest of lines, so British and he lightens up all the scenes he is in. I thought it was great fun. See more Read all reviews
