It's further away from being compelling, and that's a problem that the entire creative team, or what's left of it, will need to solve. Let's all offer a prayer to the old and new gods that they figure it out in time for season three.

The episode should have got American Gods season 2 off to a rapid start, but instead it dragged its heels re-explaining what had gone on in season 1, but it did leave us with a cliffhanger it very much needed.
