What everyone's really wondering after two episodes of 'American Horror Story: Cult' is why extremely twitchy, massively phobic and very paranoid Ally keeps investigating spooky things, and is allowed to have deadly weapons.
Things are bound to escalate, certainly, but it's been interesting to see how far the series has double-backed on itself.
Subtle, intimate, and insightful aren't adjectives I'm used to using when talking about AHS, but I really like it. Let's hope it stays that way.
The Wiltons are like something out of the world's most out-there episode of House Hunters.
All of this feels like a set-up, and I'm screaming at my television.
I can't imagine animal lovers cared too much for that one, but yeah, they went there.
If it wants its satire to be successful, it should stick to subtle and not shove its blood and guts in the audience faces.
We're obviously going to watch the whole season and fawn over Paulson's acting skills and have fun kvetching about clowns, but we're going to be very unnerved while we do it.
The first two episodes are already starting to feel repetitive: Ally gets terrorized by clowns, no one else sees the clowns, and then everyone thinks Ally is crazy. Given the cliffhanger, it seems unlikely that's going to change next week
Now it looks like that twisted "love story" between Kai and Ally, which Ryan Murphy teased ahead of the new season, has officially begun.
We already knew Kai (Evan Peters) was terrible, but one thing that the latest episode of American Horror Story: Cult makes clear is that Winter (Billie Lourd) is the wooooooorst.
"Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" continues to shade the atmosphere of American Horror Story: Cult with false leads and red herrings. Everyone will be part of the hive by the end. We are all pods.
